Adding a venue to your event

Find or create a venue

Crowdstack uses a shared directory of places to prevent duplicates and help guests find your event. When setting up an event, you must assign it to a venue.

Venue creation is instant. You do not need to wait for approval or for a venue representative to claim the profile before you publish your event.

Search for an existing venue

The system prefers that you use an existing venue record if one already exists in the directory.

  1. Start creating your event and proceed to the Venue, start and end time step.
  2. Type the venue name and city into the search field.
  3. Review the list of matching results from the Crowdstack directory and external maps.
  4. Select the correct venue from the list.

If the venue appears in the search results, select it. This ensures your event links to the correct public profile and avoids creating duplicate entries for the same location.

Create a new venue manually

If you cannot find your venue in the search results, you can create a new record immediately using the fallback form.

  1. Enter the venue name, city, country code and timezone.
  2. Add the street address if available.
  3. Click Create manual venue.

The system creates the venue record and assigns it to your event instantly. You may publish your event without any further checks or waiting periods.

Claiming and managing venues

Venues have public profiles that can be claimed later by legitimate representatives.

  • If you create an unclaimed venue, it hosts your event immediately.
  • A verified venue team may claim the profile at a later date to correct details or upload official media.
  • Claims grant editing access and the ability to cover campaign charges; they never gate event creation or remove your events.
  • If duplicate records are identified later, Crowdstack operations may merge them while preserving your event history.

You do not need to manage venue subscriptions or operational dashboards to host an event. The venue simply provides the location context for your guest list.
